 A
survey of the State Department of Archaeology has confirmed
that no protected monument lies in the submergence area in
Gujarat. As per the survey report, two pilgrim centres viz.
Shoolpaneshwar Mahadev Temple at village Surpan in Maharashtra
and Hamfeshwar Mahadev Temple in Chhotaudepur Taluka of Panchmahal
District of Gujarat are affected.
Shoolpaneshwar and Hamfeshwar temple have already been constructed
at new site at Gora near Kevadia and at village Hamf respectively.
The shifting of spirit of both of these temples has also been
completed.
