Similarly
long term loans/advance installments against the dues
of water rates for the use of industrial water from the
industrial project can also be obtained.

From
the experience of the last 3-4 years it is revealed that
the present day agriculturists being very enterprising
and progressive are utilizing even monsoon water stored
by the excavated canal system through lift irrigation
by pumping.

By
resorting to plantation of about 2 crores trees alongside
the main canal and branches, funds can be raised at the
low interest rate.

We
are also planning for insurance linked bonds on long term
basis for generation of resources at lower interest rate.

The
SSNNL has mobilised large amount by way of bonds are the
response from within as well as outside Gujarat is tremendous.

The
Government of India has permitted, as a special case,
issue of tax free interest Bonds. Rs. 500 crores have
been mobilised in 2002-03 under that scheme. It is envisaged
to repeat such market mobilisation.

efforts would be made to get financial assistance for
the implementation of canal network from NABARD and infrastructure
development Agencies/Companies
- The scheduled
Banks have come forward to give long term project loans
for various components of the project.
- A seperate
company namely Narmada based Drinking water infrastructure
Co. has been set up, which is implementing the drinking
water supply net work.
- As soon as
hydro power generation starts, that would provide an important
source of revenue.
